Video shows a strange animal that has the tail of a lion and the front of a fox. It may be a red fox with a skin disease, possibly mange. Many of the strange creatures shown on Youtube appear to be normal animals with mange. Also shown are Dog, Coyote, Dhole, Guard, Dogs Kangal, St. Bernard Wild Dog Great Pyrenees The Dhole (Cuon alpinus), is one of the rarest dogs in the US. There may be as few as 10. They are also known as the Asiatic Wild Dog, Indian Wild Dog, or Red Dog. It is a endangered species of Asian canid, and the only member of the genus Cuon. They are pure wild dogs. In ancient India people were more scared of these wild dogs then of tigers and lions because they hunt in large packs of more then 100 and some older hunters have seen packs of more then 200. They are capable of bringing down tigers and lions and young Elephants. These are an ancient species of wild dogs in the world like the African wild dogs. (The Dingo is actually not a native species of wild dog and developed in the wild from domestic breed.) Another wild dog, the African Wild dog is also shown. These animals hunt in packs and are quite large. Their scientific name “Lycaon pictus” comes from the Greek for “wolf” and the Latin for “painted”. It is the only canid species that lack dewclaws on the forelimbs. A very large coyote is shown in comparison to a dog of around 50 lbs. The coyote would be much taller.
